Moving Through Feelings of Limitation & Powerlessness Part 1

If you have ever felt limitations like financial or physical limitations, you are not alone.  Sometimes I feel limitations that make me want to scream with madness because I feel like I am in bondage or prison with no options.  Can you relate?  If the answer is yes, then I have good news for you!  I have learned that ...

we always have options!

When I’m feeling all bound up the best place for me to be is on my mat.  Sometimes I don’t feel like it, but I know it is the best medicine because it is there that I find peace and tranquility … a place where I can stretch and release and discover answers and options.

What I have described is exactly what happened to me today. I ran into a financial issue that made me want to scream.  I felt the powerlessness, the limitation and the bondage.  And then there was victimhood.  But instead of diving headfirst into the victim mentality pertaining to the situation, I simply looked at it.  It all felt and looked powerless.  Is that where I want to be?  Is that where you want to be when faced with life issues?  Of course not, me neither!

I want to be and feel limitless and empowered! Always! So, while I was practicing a simple sun salutation, I decided to use the situation as a springboard for empowerment and kick the victimhood mentality out the window.  I sometimes remind myself of something I taught my kids that has served them well and that is ...

I can do anything I want if I put my mind to it.  

So instead of putting my mind on limitations, bondage, and victimhood, I choose to put my mind on the solution and get to work!   It’s a choice.  Simple as that!

Whatever situation you find yourself in that is causing you to feel powerless, I encourage you to step onto your mat to find the strength and will to make an empowering choice.  If I can do it, so can you! (For a simple flow try the one in our FREEBIE program.)
