Chances are you have heard something about positive affirmations. I am a firm believer in positive affirmations, but why?
We live in a critical world. Every time we turn around there is a message that says for one reason or another that we are not enough. This message has been pounded into us through the media and maybe even well-meaning people in our lives.
I am here to tell you that you ARE enough! As a matter of fact, you are more than enough. I believe that for you and for me, but I also know that it can be difficult quieting all the negative thoughts in our heads that keep us from grasping this simple truth of being more than enough.
I also believe that what we think about we bring about. What we dwell on, we tend to draw to us. So, if our minds are dwelling on lots of negativity, we will attract more of the same into our lives. Who wants that, right? Don’t you want areas of your life to change? Yes, of course, so do I.
Everything that we do in life starts with a thought. Therefore, it makes sense for us to start changing our minds about ourselves and our lives. We must renew our minds to the truth.
That is what positive affirmations are all about. Notice that I’m saying “positive” affirmations. It’s an important distinction because we are always affirming our beliefs whether negative or positive. Our tendency is to be very self-critical and we must stop that.
We must begin to practice renewing our minds to the truth that we are pure love in our essence, which makes us more than enough to live out our truth. It’s time to learn that we are amazing women.
