Letting Go of the Struggle
It is very liberating when we let go of the struggle and meet ourselves right where we are on our yoga mat, which teaches us to let go off the mat in day to day life. We put too much undue stress and pressure on ourselves in many ways especially when it comes to our bodies. We don’t like where we are physically … dare I say “hate” where we are physically in many ways between how we look and the physical limitations, big or small, we may have. We bombard ourselves daily with negative berating self-talk that is rooted in fear because we believe that we are not good enough as we are.
Because of this kind of self-hatred, we don’t like to look in the mirror, we don’t like to touch ourselves, and we go into all kind of avoidance. We take daily situations and interpret them to line up with false beliefs about ourselves to validate the lie that we are not good enough causing us to go even deeper into an isolated dark rabbit hole.
Really?! Is this where you want to be? Of course not!
I know I sure don’t and yoga is helping me to release this awful struggle! More and more when I step onto my yoga mat, I experience an “Aaaaahhhhhh” and I feel a release. And if not when I step onto the mat, some time during my practice it often happens. It also happens during mediation. And the goal becomes to take that present moment of self-love and acceptance with me into my day to day life.
It is our false belief systems that keep us stuck in an unhealthy body and life. It is as you believe! That is so huge to get and understand! And it is even more huge to begin to change the false beliefs about yourself to the truth!
You are amazing! You are beautiful! You are strong! You are loving! You are love! You are capable! You are perfect in your imperfection! You are peace! You are joy! You are truth!
Your body knows what to do when given the right tools to heal itself and it starts with your beliefs!
My yoga practice has helped me to believe in myself again. Yes, I still have things to work on, but I have come a long way. Yoga has empowered me and that is the heart of what I do here at Yog-i-nspiration.com. I am passing on the hope an empowering experience to you!
